    The ACT exam is 2 hours and 55 minutes long without the often writing session ,and 3 hours and 35 minutes with it. The test consists of four section :English (45 minutes), mathematics 60 minutes), Reading (35 minutes), and Science (35 minutes). If the optional writing section. is included, it adds an additional 40 minutes. With breaks and the optional writing section the total testing me is approximately 4 hours.
